In line with many recent conferences, we attach great importance to eco-responsibility. Here are the different dimensions for which the organizing committee has been vigilant:
Place of the conference and social even
The place of the conference and the social event are accessible by public transports, the network of which is highly developed in the city of Lille and its agglomeration (cf. How to reach the conference)
Conference proceedings
We chose to ban plastic bottles and to propose vegetarian & vegan lunches. They will be served as a buffet in order to avoid the packaging. To avoid paper waste, the program will also not be printed, but will be virtually available during the entire conference.
Hotels
We proposed a list of hotels with an eco-label (cf. “where to stay?”). You also can active a “green” filter on Booking.
Goodies
To avoid overproduction of goodies and waste, the organizing committee has chosen more environmentally friendly goodies. We therefore encourage you to bring your own tote bag and water bottle to the conference, as we will not be designing them
Accessibility
You can calculate your carbon impact with https://impactco2.fr/transport/itineraire. The site offers various alternatives to air travel. We encourage people coming from France and neighboring countries to travel by train, since Lille is very well served (cf. How to reach Lille).
